Losing weight is a challenging battle whether you have five pounds to lose or 205 pounds to lose. First you have to face the obviously harsh facts: we live in a food-driven world. How do we meet with coworkers? Over lunch. What do your kids beg for? Icecream. Everybody has to eat; there’s no giving up food cold turkey (another food reference!) like other addictions.

The solution? Nothing specific. Nothing precise. But something simple… at least in writing: eat fewer calories than your body burns.

My blog will lead you through the ins and outs of my own weight loss journey as well as provide you with valuable weight loss tips to follow on your own program. I have lost and gained weight a few times before, but this is about a lifestyle change, not a starve then binge cycle. I have lost 14 pounds with Weight Watchers so far, and I’m in this for life, the highs and the lows.
